In 2024, Land Titles and Surveys processed 657,098 submissions. Of these, 197,674 were returned due to deficiencies—an error rate of approximately 30%.
This consistently high error rate significantly impacts processing times, as reviewing and correcting deficient documents takes twice as long as handling error-free submissions. These delays can hinder the timely registration of land-related documents for the public.
To help improve submission success rates, Land Titles representatives are pleased to share practical tips and best practices for preparing and submitting documents correctly the first time.
